The 2nd Seminar on International Core-to-Core Project on Nano Carbon Device Science at Kyoto

General Information

The 2nd Seminar on International Core-to-Core Project on Nano Carbon Device Science at Kyoto

Date: 4th–6th October, 2023

Venue: Kihada Hall, Obaku Plaza, Uji Campus, Kyoto University
https://www.uji.kyoto-u.ac.jp/campus/obaku.html

Purpose of Seminar: π-Conjugated compounds are vital in developing future organic optoelectronic materials because of their fascinating functions such as electrical conductivity, optical absorption, and luminescence. To develop photoelectronic organic materials that will support the next generation of society, it is essential to search for innovative new compounds as well as to integrate concepts of new organic synthesis and device fabrication. In this program, active research groups in Japan, the U.K., Canada, and Germany will form an international research center to create novel carbon nanomolecules and their application to materials. The second International Seminar on this project will be held in Kyoto, in 2023.

The 2nd International Seminar is sponsored by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Core-to-Core Program (grant number: JPJSCCA20220004) and by a subsidy from Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto Convention & Visitors Bureau.
